The troop is coming home this morning from a great week at CLR. Lots of advancement, new friends and memories to last a life time are coming with us. After the campers sleep a day or two they will start to think about how much they miss camp and when the next visit might be. There truly is a magic in the valley that rubs off on all who venture into it. Once you have experienced this magic it is not easily forgotten. Keep an eye on the web site as I will be posting new pictures next week. A special thanks to the CLR staff for another fantastic week at Chief Logan. Oh yea we will have 3 going back for a 2nd week later in the summer along with two completing their CIT training….. Friends truly are Friends forever!!!

Its Tuesday morning and all of the boys are busy working on merit badges and advancement. Our boys are working in every area of camp. Some have already achieved long sought after requirements. Food in the dining hall has been good and plentiful. This morning is the annual camp inspection by National’s visitation team. They are out looking things over and we should hear the results at lunch. The staff has worked hard to make sure that all is in order so it should go well.

Well we made it and setting up on Saturday once again made Sunday a breeze. Every thing went smooth during check in. The staff are ready it is going to be a great week. Weather was warm yesterday but last night it cooled off enough to make sleeping comfortable. Camp inspection is on Tuesday so all are busy taking care of the last of the list of minor items. We are getting a lot of comments on our customized camp t-shirts. If all goes well I willl be posting the next couple days while I am here. I will be posting the bulk of the pictures next week once I return to work.

Yuma camp site, Chief Logan Scout Reservation. We are replacing the fence in the above picture on Saturday June 6th. with a new split rail fence. Every one had different schedules so the plan currently is to provide your own transportation. If you need a ride contact Charlie or Jeff as they may have room. Plans call for work to begin at 8:00 am. Bring drinks and lunch with you and plan on a busy day.
