October Activities

Now that Apple Festival activities are over we will be getting back to our regular meeting routine. Our next outing will be on Oct 30th and 31st. We will be camping at Buckeye Furnace which is located off of St. Rt. 124 east of Berlin Cross Roads. They are having their annual celebration and we will be assisting with parking cars for the event. The day will not be all work and no play though as there will be plenty of time for every one to enjoy all of the various activities going on. Current plans call for the troop to depart the church at 5:00 p.m. on Friday the 30th and return on on the evening of Saturday the 31st. All food will be furnished by the troop but you should bring anything special you might want to eat or drink. The gift shop will be open and there will possibly be other places to spend money so you might want a little pocket money. More information will be announced at troop meetings as it becomes available.

Apple Festival Update

Well the Festival is officially open for business and Wednesday was a busy day. We were short handed and could not man two of our largest lots. Hopefully the rest of the week more folks will come out to help with the Troops Fund Raiser of parking cars. Apple Festival

Monday September 21st we will be setting up our display area in the yard of the church. This is a work detail so no uniform is required. Come ready to work, even a little early as we have a lot to do in a short period of time…

After that we will be parking cars all week and marching in all 3 parades.

NO REGULAR MEETINGS IN AUGUST!

August 24 at 7:00 PM—-Board of review for any scout who is ready to advance to your next rank. You have two more weeks to get every thing completed.

August 31 at 6:30 PM— Court of Honor. This will be a covered dish dinner,with plenty of food. Scouts will be receiving all merit badges and rank advancement up to and including the board of review.Both these dates require Class A Uniform. If you have any questions contact me.

We will also be organizing for our annual Apple Festival car parking fund raiser.
